Tomorrow is our big day December 4, 2021! A Version of Plan A, The McKenna Youth Foundation Holiday Party for the Children! Taking Place at Aunt Chiladas, 7330 N Dreamy Draw Drive. 

If you wish to volunteer, please arrive at 8:30 am to prepare for the party, unload the trucks, assemble bicycles, sort food, clothing and household items. 

Arrive at 10:30am if you wish to help during the party, interacting with the families and help with the checkout process. If you are helping out at the party, we suggest you wear a mask! 

If you are unable attend and want to support our very worthy cause with a monetary donation, contact Terri 602.332.9601.

Also, if you have fun Holiday apparel wear it, making things extra festive!  Lastly if you have gently used clothing or household items, please bring them we have an area set up and the families really appreciate it! Thank you for all the SUPPORT we could not do it without you!

The McKenna Youth Foundation for families in need is tomorrow, December 2, 2023, at Aunt Chiladas Restaurant, 7330 N Dreamy Draw Drive, Phoenix, Arizona 85020

Volunteers should arrive at 9am.  If you are building bikes bring a table and tools.  

If you have used clothes, shoes or household items to donate bring them, we set tables up so the families can help themselves.

Not to Late to MYour Other Qualifying Charity Tax Contribution for 2020- Deadline Extended to May 17, 2021

 

It is tax time and we want to remind you that the McKenna Youth Foundation is a Qualifying Charity for Arizona Tax Credits.  Contribute to the McKenna Youth Foundation and receive a dollar for dollar tax credit. Here is how it works:

The Arizona State Tax Credit program allows you to make a donation to the McKenna Youth Foundation (Qualifying Charity Organization) as well as other categories of Arizona tax credits (Military, Foster, Public and Private Schools) and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit against Arizona state taxes owed.

Donating to the McKenna Youth Foundation will most likely leave you in a tax neutral situation, meaning you’ll pay about the same total amount whether you use the tax credits or just pay the tax; but, by donating you get a say in how the money is spent. You may contribute up to the amount of your expected Arizona tax liability to each tax credit category, for the McKenna Youth Foundation, you may contribute up to $400.00 for a single filer and $800.00 for a joint filing. If you contribute more than your total state tax amount, the credits can be carried forward five years. You must make your tax credit donations by April 15, 2021, for them to apply to the 2020 year. This year has been exceedingly difficult for everyone; but especially charities and the people they assist! By choosing to help our cause you will Make a Difference in a Child’s Life!

The McKenna Youth Foundation has been able to provide food, clothing, books, toys, household items, and bicycles to more than 3300 families and over 10,850 children.  In addition to the annual holiday party, the McKenna Youth Foundation has assisted numerous children by providing food and housing scholarships, sending kids to summer programs and providing back to school clothing.  We would not be able to assist these valley families in need without the support of generous donors and we would be so grateful for your assistance! We hope you will choose to contribute to our very worthy cause.

Tax Write offs for Donations to the McKenna Youth Foundation will be mailed by January 31, 2021.
